Advancing Better Science For All

⸻⸻⸻ WINN AWARDS PROGRAMS ⸻⸻⸻

The Robert A. Winn Excellence in Clinical Trials Awards Program (Winn Awards) exists to improve participation in clinical trials to drive better health outcomes in all communities and save more lives.

Guided by our mission of Better Science For All, the Winn Awards prepare early-career physician-researchers and medical students to implement high-impact studies that engage underrepresented populations. This work ensures new therapies are safe and effective for all who will use them — and that the latest medical advances reach those who need them most.

Words From Our Leaders and Scholars

“We believe that clinical trials are an extension of care. So when people think of the Winn Awards, they ought to think of hope.”

-Dr. Robert A. Winn, Director, VCU Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center and Chair, The Winn Awards National Advisory Committee
